Scrolling Images

Date: July 05, 2010 06:53PM Hey Everyone
My issue is that I'm trying to create a scrolling image function in Director for a website I'm creating for work however I can't seem to make anything work. I've been using Director for years but am not used to developing lingo/java code as I've used the standard functions within the program. While I was doing research I came across some scrolling image tutorials on this website (http://www.director-online.com/buildArticle.php?id=880 scrolling icon menu) and it was perfect for what I need for the work website; however I am unsure how it is created from start to finish. I understand the explanations given for the coding but what I don't know is where this coding is placed and how it all links in to work. For example I created a new director file and made a black rectangle box (in Photoshop and then imported into director) then with the coding stated in the tute I wrote it into the script for the black box. I had images for the scrolling in a folder (in the same directory as the director file) called 'images' which on put on the stage overlapping the black box; but nothing seemed to work. Is this the correct way to achieve a scrolling image bar? My problem is I'm just unsure about the step by step procedure in starting from scratch on how to create a scrolling image bar. If anyone is able to help in anyway it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time anyway. Matt. Re: Scrolling Images
