Shamelessly modified from an alternate version on Director Web.
If your browser and/or email package support enhanced
mailto links, you can simply click on the links below and have your
email package automatically provide the correct commands for you.
How do I subscribe
to DIRECT-L?
Send (in the body of a message): SUBSCRIBE DIRECT-L FirstName
LastName
Don't include a Subject header.
To: listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
What is the difference between listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
and DIRECT-L@uafsysb.uark.edu?
The first email address is where commands to the listserv software
is sent. If you want to change your settings, get info about the
list or unsubscribe then you send the commands to that address.
The second address is where mail for the list is sent. Sending
commands (like SIGNOFF) to the second address will only annoy people
and not result in your command being processed.
How do I unsubscribe from DIRECT-L?
Send: SIGNOFF DIRECT-L To: listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
What's a DIGEST?
A digest is a complitation of the days mail messages to the list.
Instead og getting 100+ messgaes a day, with the digest you get
one (or more depending on the volume of mail).
How do I get a DIGEST sent to me?
Send (in the body of a message): SET DIRECT-L DIGEST
To: listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
Why don't I see my postings to DIRECT-L?
You don't receive copies of your own postings by default when
you subscribe to the list. Don't re-post simply because you don't
see your own posting.
To get copies of your own postings, send: SET DIRECT-L REPRO
To: listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
How do I get all the commands that the
DIRECT-L listserv can respond to?
Send: INFO REFCARD To: listserv@uafsysb.uark.edu
